Bayer Process

Bayer process is the main industrial production method of alumina production. Bayer process is suitable for treating low silica bauxite with good quality, but it is not suitable for iron ore and aluminum. The production process is: the pressure cooker, caustic leaching for bauxite, so we can get the sodium aluminate solution. Then dilute sodium aluminate solution. And then with the aluminum hydroxide seed (or seeds) will be stirring, sodium aluminate was decomposed to obtain aluminium hydroxide. Product alumina will be obtained by calcination. After evaporation, the crystal seed decomposition in the mother liquor back for bauxite leaching. Bayer process is suitable for low silicon bauxite with good processing quality.
